Currently my practice is as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant and
Disease Management Nurse.
2002-2005
Exempla St. Joseph’s Hospital, Denver, Colorado Float
pool/Resource-Day Shift. Patient care assignments as needed throughout
the house and included various specialties: Oncology, Telemetry/Cardiac,
Medical, Surgical, Orthopedics, 23 Hr/Observation, and included
Postpartum-Mom/Newborn care. Additionally, contracted with the Just
in Time Agency and added some shifts on an as needed basis at the
Centura Parker Adventist Hospital.

care of the post operative patient, most commonly involved orthopedics/sports
medicine, general surgery, ENT (ear, nose, throat) and plastics.

Travel nursing included an assignment in Steamboat Springs at Yampa
Valley Medical Center.

Strong emphasis in post operative care of orthopedic/sports medicine
patients and included care of general surgical patients, medical
patients, pediatrics, and care of infants with RSV.

a winter (seasonal) contract and consisted primarily of care of
post operative patients from the renowned Steadman and Hawkins practice.

Post operative care of many patients that required total hip and
knee replacements.

St. Joseph’s Hospital, etc.) Included acute care/sub acute
care settings, and on a more limited basis on site immunization
clinics at employment sites and assignments in home health cases.
1989-1990
Swedish Medical Center, Englewood, Colorado-Neurosurgical
Unit This involved post operative care of the craniotomy
patient, CVA (Cerebral Vascular Accident) or stroke patient, those
that required back surgery (lumbar laminectomies), continuous EEG
(electroencephalogram) monitoring, and included dedication to the
medical management of MS patients.
